Angel Montero is a long-standing tango leader in Atlanta. He is a deejay, an instructor, and loves to share his passion for dance.

This class focues on musical interpretation for one of Argentina's most famous band leaders, Juan D'Arienzo. It is suitable and encouraged for all levels of tango dancer to be familiar with this music.

Atlanta Tango Club In addition to teaching, Angel Montero started DJing locally in 2004, and over the years he has become one of the most sought after DJs in the country. He has been the DJ of choice for many special events in the Southeast, and now he is being invited to DJ in festivals all over the country, like Denver, Ann Arbor, Austin, Kansas City, Tangosutra (Washington, DC), Puerto Rico, Tampa, Cleveland, Nashville, Maratonazo (NYC), Dallas and Tango Element (Baltimore, MD). Angel usually favors rhythmic music (Dâ€™Arienzo rocks) but he pays close attention to the energy he gets form the dance floor. Most importantly, he does not believe in "killing the milonga" as he always wants you to go home wanting more. Angel was also the organizer of the in-haitus Atlanta Tango Festival, one of the best tango festivals in the US. ...

~Free Workshop Registration is required to ensure your comfort and safety. Please, create an NDC/NSC website account by clicking on “Register” in the top menu. If you have purchased a show ticket or social dance pass, you already created a login through your email.

~Once you are registered with the Nashville Dance Congress, you can click on your favorite free classes and reserve your spot, as space permits. Class registration is located at the bottom of the workshop page.

~When you arrive, please first visit the NDC/NSC Registration Desk to get your wristband. All event attendees have wristbands. Event Staff will check you in before class. At 5 minutes before class begins, folks who have not pre-registered will be allowed to fill available spots. All classes are closed on the hour.
