Nick Williams & Laura Keat are SUPER famous swing dancers! The know everything about being quick on their feet. The class focuses on staying light with your partner and with your self. You will learn balance, poise, and core-to-foot coordination while engaging in a Lindy sequence with and without a partner.

Nick has embodied the passion and spirit of swing dancing ever since his first lesson in 1998. The depth of his understanding of Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Collegiate Shag stems from studying with the original dancers. Nick’s desire for authenticity, combined with his passion for dance evolution, leads to a style known for precision, lightness, musicality and dynamic energy.
His successes include World Lindy Hop Champion, US Open Swing Dance Champion, American Lindy Hop Champion, National Jitterbug Champion, International Lindy Hop Champion, Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown Champion, American Classic Balboa Champion and California Balboa/Swing Champion.
He is also an accomplished choreographer and has been featured on the hit television show So You Think You Can Dance. ~Free Workshop Registration is required to ensure your comfort and safety. Please, create an NDC/NSC website account by clicking on “Register” in the top menu. If you have purchased a show ticket or social dance pass, you already created a login through your email.
~Once you are registered with the Nashville Dance Congress, you can click on your favorite free classes and reserve your spot, as space permits. Class registration is located at the bottom of the workshop page.
~When you arrive, please first visit the NDC/NSC Registration Desk to get your wristband. All event attendees have wristbands. Event Staff will check you in before class. At 5 minutes before class begins, folks who have not pre-registered will be allowed to fill available spots. All classes are closed on the hour.
