Ramzi Mardam Bey started his dance journey in none other than what he calls "the heart of Argentine tango in the USA": Nashville, Tennessee! In the lovely Music City, Ramzi began delving into the addictive art of tango. He realized that a better understanding of and familiarity with the intricacies of the music translate into a richer dance. From there on began the constant listening to Argentine tango, vals, and milonga, followed by starting to DJ at weekly classes, practicas, and milongas in Nashville. Work had Ramzi part with the South and move to the Northeast, where he now is actively involved in the New Haven and other Connecticut tango communities both as a dancer, solo guitar performer, and DJ. Ramzi sees himself working towards becoming a more mature and versatile dancer through ongoing diligent practice and study. The nuances of Argentine tango are endless, and Ramzi aims to continue deepening his understanding of this amazing art, culture, and lifestyle through its myriad facets.
