MariaPia DePasquale is Nashville's longest-standing leader in the Argentine Tango community. She has performed in every imaginable community event and taught thousands of people how to dance tango. Pia's style is concise, entertaining, and especially nurturing in her delicious Italian way.

This class focuses on embellishing variations in Media Lunas (half moons), which are half circles. They are very beautiful and very popular. Enjoy!

Nashville Tango Club MariaPia De Pasquale, a native of Milan, Italy, started dancing Argentine Tango in 2001 in Boston, MA. Pia was so enchanted by this sensual and creative dance that learning, dancing and interpreting Tango quickly conquered most of her free time. "Argentine Tango is an elegant and sensual dance that makes two people connect through its music. It is a hymn of seduction, intertwining music, poetry, and passion," says MariaPia. Pia is currently Director and Head Instructor of Nashville Tango Club. MariaPia has studied with internationally renowned Argentine Tango Masters, such as the Broadway star Pablo Veron, Miriam Larici, Nito and Elba, Fabian Salas, Carina Losano and more. She never misses a chance to fly anywhere there's an Argentine Tango festival or a workshop-- whether in the US, Europe, or Latin America. ~Free Workshop Registration is required to ensure your comfort and safety. Please, create an NDC/NSC website account by clicking on “Register” in the top menu. If you have purchased a show ticket or social dance pass, you already created a login through your email.

~Once you are registered with the Nashville Dance Congress, you can click on your favorite free classes and reserve your spot, as space permits. Class registration is located at the bottom of the workshop page.

~When you arrive, please first visit the NDC/NSC Registration Desk to get your wristband. All event attendees have wristbands. Event Staff will check you in before class. At 5 minutes before class begins, folks who have not pre-registered will be allowed to fill available spots. All classes are closed on the hour.
