Heather Adkins and Paul Fryer are Nashville FAVE's for swingin' the Blues! They are known for really feeling the mood of the groove.

This class focuses on introducing Blues and adding Blues groove to your swing moves.

Blues Dance Nashville ***Paul Fryer*** Paul can’t help but love the blues. His first “formal” swing dance lesson of any kind was in New Orleans-style drag blues. It was awkward, uncoordinated, and completely overwhelming. Yet a few months later, he was standing in a small classroom learning beginner blues. The music draws you in. It makes you want to move. He couldn’t stay away then, and he hasn’t in the years since. In those interim years, Paul has worked hard at making his dancing look and feel the way that music sounds. He has honed his skills (i.e. removed the awkward) at local classes and workshops as well as prestigious events like Blues Muse in Philadelphia and Enter The Blues in Atlanta. He started teaching lindy hop in 2011 in his college dance club in Huntsville, AL. ~Free Workshop Registration is required to ensure your comfort and safety. Please, create an NDC/NSC website account by clicking on “Register” in the top menu. If you have purchased a show ticket or social dance pass, you already created a login through your email.

~Once you are registered with the Nashville Dance Congress, you can click on your favorite free classes and reserve your spot, as space permits. Class registration is located at the bottom of the workshop page.

~When you arrive, please first visit the NDC/NSC Registration Desk to get your wristband. All event attendees have wristbands. Event Staff will check you in before class. At 5 minutes before class begins, folks who have not pre-registered will be allowed to fill available spots. All classes are closed on the hour.
