Edgar Mendez is the one of the iconic Rumberos that brought LA-Style Salsa to Tennessee. Edgar's style so smooth and easy to follow. It's just cool.

This classes focuses on an Advanced Salsa pattern.

Beginners are encouraged to watch, intermediate can try and advanced- JUMP IN!

Edgar's Madison Dance Studio Edgar Mendez, otherwise known as “TunTun” in the LA Salsa scene, is a former principal dancer and choreographer for the world famous Los Rumberos dance company. One of the pioneers of the LA-style of Salsa dancing in Southern California, Edgar has performed internationally in salsa congresses since the late 90's. Edgar’s many dance credits include appearances in national commercials, films, and television shows. With his intricate, lightning-fast footwork, and his creative, innovative choreography, Edgar continues to wow audiences who watch him perform in sheer amazement. Edgar owns Club Rumba and Madison Dance Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. Since 2000, he has taught thousands of Memphians to Salsa, Cha-cha, Merengue, and Bachata. His lessons and students have been featured in many local and national publications. Edgar will be celebrating the 11th Memphis Salsa Convention in October 2017....

~Free Workshop Registration is required to ensure your comfort and safety. Please, create an NDC/NSC website account by clicking on “Register” in the top menu. If you have purchased a show ticket or social dance pass, you already created a login through your email.

~Once you are registered with the Nashville Dance Congress, you can click on your favorite free classes and reserve your spot, as space permits. Class registration is located at the bottom of the workshop page.

~When you arrive, please first visit the NDC/NSC Registration Desk to get your wristband. All event attendees have wristbands. Event Staff will check you in before class. At 5 minutes before class begins, folks who have not pre-registered will be allowed to fill available spots. All classes are closed on the hour.
