Eric is an avid swing dancer, screen printer, and snake charmer – which, we promise, isn’t a euphemism. (Snakes, apparently, find him quite charming.) He likes bow ties, girls with flowers in their hair, and the way swing dancing gives him the opportunity to be a part of something larger than himself. As the president of Swing Dance Nashville, Eric oversees the day-to-day operations and organization of SDN.
In February of 2010, Rachel ventured into a musky, dank gym basement, lured by the promise of friendship and a swing dance lesson. Now countless dances and adventures later, she regards this as one of the best decisions she’s ever made. As the teacher coordinator, Rachel is responsible for scheduling teachers for Swing Dance Nashville class series and Jump Session. She also organizes teacher training when needed and even occasionally teaches herself.
